Owner of Franklin Hill Vineyards

As the owner of Franklin HillVineyards, Elaine has brought creativity, innovation and growth to the Lehigh Valley. She began her vineyard and winery in Bangor, PA over four decades ago on a mission to live off the land while raising her children. Today she produces over 80,000 gallons of wine each year. She has 4 locations and has recently expanded into over 125 state stores and over 50 grocery stores throughout Pennsylvania. In the last year they’ve seen a 30% increase in their overall sales and continue to grow.

She’s dedicated to supporting working mothers and currently employs 33 women making up 90% of her staff. Supporting women in life and business is one of her passions. In 2015 Franklin Hill Vineyards became a certified National Women’s Business Enterprise. As a single mother and business owner, Elaine recognizes and appreciates the efforts it takes which is why she insists her young mothers put family first. In her effort to continue to learn and grow, she attends the Philadelphia Women’s Conference every year. She has met so many wonderful women who run their own businesses and they mentor each other.

Elaine’s learned the importance of giving back and supporting local throughout her work and life. She’s proud that she’s have been inducted into the Lehigh Valley Business of the Year Hall of Fame. In 2017 she was awarded the Trailblazer Award from The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. She is pleased and honored to say she has been the recipient of the Athena Award, Breaking the Glass Ceiling, Women of Influence in the Lehigh Valley, Woman of Merit and Pennsylvania’s 50 Best Women in Business Award.
