Gina J. Range

Chief Advancement Officer, Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania

Gina J. Range is a fundraising professional with more than 30 years of experience working with nonprofit organizations. She currently serves as Chief Advancement Officer for Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania, one of the largest Girl Scout councils in the country, ranking fifth out of 111 councils, and serving more than 25,000 girls across nine counties. Notably, Gina previously worked with the organization nearly 15 years ago and returned in October 2024 to take on this leadership role. She is responsible for strengthening and reshaping the fundraising program to better support the organization’s priorities and future goals.

Before joining Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania, Gina served as Chief Advancement Officer at Opera Philadelphia, where contributed revenue played a significant role in supporting the organization’s $8 million annual fundraising efforts. Prior to her time with Opera Philadelphia, Ms. Range held the role of Vice President of Institutional Advancement with the August Wilson African American Cultural Center (AWAACC), a nationally renowned multi-disciplinary performing arts center located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, known for producing the Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival. There, she built the development program, helped hire the organization’s first fundraising team, and led efforts that raised approximately $4.5 million annually. Her work helped expand access to free programming and supported emerging artists. She also helped secure support from major national funders, including the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation and Bloomberg Philanthropies, and played a role in the opening of The Writer’s Landscape, a permanent exhibition honoring playwright August Wilson. Other organizations that have benefited from her expertise in fundraising and implementing strategic practices to ensure financial sustainability include the national renowned, the African American Museum in Philadelphia, and The Philadelphia Orchestra, where she also designed and implemented major fundraising campaigns for the Orchestra and the Academy of Music, creating infrastructure for their $175MM endowment campaign.

In addition to her professional work, Gina is an active volunteer and mentor. She currently serves as Board Chair of national breast cancer support organization, Living Beyond Breast Cancer, has volunteered with Astral Artists, Play On Philly, and Women of Color in Fundraising and Philanthropy. She is also a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
