The Spiderweb Strategy: Building Strengths in All Directions
Room: Monocacy | 06/04/2026 10:45 am - 11:30 am
The Spiderweb Strategy recognizes that strength does not come from a single direction, title, or role—it comes from relationships. Women across sectors often lead by weaving trust, collaboration, and shared purpose into the systems around them, creating impact that ripples outward.
This workshop explores the Spiderweb Strategy as a framework for empowerment, leadership, and community‑building. Participants will learn how intentionally cultivating relationships and social capital can support career growth, amplify influence, and strengthen teams and organizations. Through reflection and interactive activities, attendees will begin to map their own spiderwebs—identifying the connections that support them, the gaps that exist, and opportunities to build strength in all directions. Participants are encouraged to attend with colleagues, friends, or peers.
At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Describe the Spiderweb Strategy framework in creating growth opportunities
- Discuss how workplace social capital can strengthen teams
- Identify ways in which bridging, bonding, and linking can support relationship building and career growth
- Create connections between and among workshop participants to build community within and between groups
