Chanelle Price

World Champion Middle-Distance Runner and St. Luke's Community Ambassador

Born in Livingston, New Jersey, Chanelle Price grew up in Easton, Pennsylvania where she attended Easton Area High School. During her senior year, among many other accolades and awards, Chanelle was named High School Athlete of the Year and ran at the 2008 United States Olympic Trials. Chanelle’s success continued while competing for the University of Tennessee, highlighted by a pair of SEC titles in the 800m. Professionally, Chanelle had a successful career with six gold medals on the world stage, most notably her first-place finish in the 800m at the 2014 World Indoor Championships. Outside of her athletic accomplishments, Chanelle prioritizes her faith to keep her grounded, and has a passion for mental health and helping athletes see themselves as more than just athletes.

Chanelle is also part of St. Luke’s Sports Medicine’s Community Ambassador Program which builds partnerships with professional athletes. Athletes such as Chanelle serve as role models, inspiring students to achieve personal and athletic excellence. They also participate in community activities, empowering individuals of all ages to embrace a more active lifestyle.
