Marta Gabriel

Director of Government & Community Affairs for Crayola, LLC

Marta Gabriel is the Director of Government & Community Affairs for Crayola, LLC., a position she has held for the past year.

Prior to this role, she served as Regional Manager – Lehigh Valley for United States Senator Patrick Toomey. In that capacity, Marta was the primary interface between the Senator and 1.5 million constituents in a seven-county region (Lehigh Valley, Berks, Carbon, Lebanon, Monroe & Schuylkill).

Marta had previously worked for Crayola (formerly Binney & Smith) for 17 years as Manager of Community & External Affairs. She was part of the start-up team which opened the original Crayola Factory in Downtown Easton in 1996.

After leaving Binney & Smith, Marta worked for Air Products as the Fortune 500 Company’s Manager of Community Relations and Philanthropy. Marta then joined the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce to expand the Chamber’s footprint in the Lehigh Valley by opening an office in Downtown Easton. After the successful launch of the Chamber’s Easton office and continued growth in that market, Marta served the Chamber as their Chief Operating Officer.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from Moravian University in Bethlehem.

Marta has been recognized with the Moravian University Alumni Association’s “Shining Star” Award. She was also awarded the YWCA Bethlehem “Outstanding Public Servant” Award. In addition, the Easton Area Community Center honored Marta with their “Community Award.”

In addition to her to professional work, Marta has served the community in numerous volunteer roles over the years. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Easton Development Partnership; Miller-Keystone Blood Center in Bethlehem; and Bloom For Women in Bethlehem. Marta also volunteers her time with her church, Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church in Easton, serving on the Finance Committee and volunteering for its annual festival.

A native of Lebanon (Middle East), Marta currently resides in Bethlehem with her husband Tom. She has a daughter who is a kindergarten teacher in Philadelphia, and four stepdaughters.
